Charlotte Sasso brings the unique blend of energy, empathy, and enthusiasm to Compass which fueled her success as owner of Amagansett’s iconic Stuart’s Seafood Market for 27 years. Charlotte’s love affair with the East End began with free-range, childhood summers in Montauk, continued through high school and college summer employment at Gosman’s Dock and culminated with planting roots here in 1986.
Charlotte and her husband Bruce expanded and elevated Stuart’s Seafood Market’s stellar reputation with their hands-on leadership, managing thriving wholesale, retail, and catering divisions within the company. Charlotte’s passion for the food industry continues with her Institute for Integrative Nutrition certification as a Wellness Coach, inspiring clients with upbeat motivation for healthy living.
Charlotte understands the Hamptons real estate market from many perspectives as she and her husband have owned multiple rental and investment properties. They are currently building a spec house on Wooded Oak Lane in East Hampton.
Charlotte also prioritizes her community connections with numerous volunteer positions including Board seats at the Jewish Center of the Hamptons, the East Hampton Education Foundation, and the Level Playing Field Foundation. She is also an active member of the Ladies Village Improvement Society, the East Hampton High School Business Advisory Board, and the Ellen Hermanson Foundation.
Charlotte’s interests beyond the culinary world include yoga, indoor and outdoor cycling, hiking, beach-walking, reading (3 book clubs!), theater, travel, and managing her German shepherd Cody’s busy social schedule. The Sassos’ son Dante is a proud graduate of the Amagansett and East Hampton school systems and is currently a Physics and Economics major at Brandeis University.
